Thank you for stopping by our new web site, we are looking for other foster parents, adoptive parents, respite and kinship care homes in Ohio.  We are an association that will be the voice for foster parents in Ohio. We are not trying to replace any other group or association we are trying to make a difference, we would like to join others by sharing.

Our group is a sounding board having some one to talk to that lives the foster care life, that takes pride in the foster caregiving.  Some one to listen, some one to talk to, some one to offer ideas, to offer support in HOW best ways to deal with the concerns, complaints, and frustrations of foster care.

Foster Care Giving, it is a calling, it is a way of life, it is a way we can share the under standing the needs of both youth and their families, knowing the ways we can help. Foster Care is not a job, it is hard work,  not everyone can handle the ups and downs.

As a  state wide group of foster care givers, we would like to bring a Professional Standard to Foster Care.

Develop a standard so those that open their lives, their homes and hearts are viewed as key to the team. So often Foster Care Givers are not view or treated  the same, with in the foster care programs.

In our group we plan  to develop a set of tools to recruit and retain foster homes, increase the numbers of long term foster home.

Setting a Professional Standard for foster homes by foster parents is only a real true test. These standards will add so much to the lives of our youth, they will gain by living in a safe home, solid family home, how it should be in their home, with their families.

We have one state wide set of rules and laws, they need to be applied statewide the same way by each agency. Foster Care is Foster Care regardless who managers the case.  The better trained we can be the better foster care we can provide. 

 A standard of professional works from case workers, case managers, both public and private agencies. Each foster parent needs to Know the Rules and  Laws

With respect of all the privacy rules, we need the Foster Parents in Ohio to come to us, this web site was set up so we can collect better the communication among foster care providers we need information. We need some help in reaching others. Get Involved!
